Background & Objectives
Our clients, a charity, asked us to organize their Annual Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot Day.
Planning and Preparation
Planning for the event begins weeks before the day, setting up stands for Driven Pheasant, Springing Teal, Crossing Cow, Settling Pigeon and a two man and four man Flushes. The attention to detail prior to the event ensures the smooth flow of our 200 shooting guests. In conjunction to a full and varied day of shooting experiences, charity events rely on the generosity of others, and preparations commence early for donations to the auctions, supplies and advertising.
The Event
Our continual maintenance and up keep to our woodland shoot enables us to offer a shooting day throughout the year. A couple of days prior to the event the marquee build and interior design and layout begins. The catering is in place and the layout of the prize, auction and raffle tables, along with the bars all come together the day before. Final technicalities and settings are checked and double checked to make for a perfect day of shooting and enjoyment.
Traffic marshals ensure that all cars are parked for easy entry and exit for our guests, who start arriving at 09:00 to be greeted with tea, coffee and bacon rolls. For those keen shooters or beginners wanting some extra practice before the shoot commences, a practice stand is available.
The shoot commences at 10.00 with teams making their way around all of the laid on stands and the incredible team flush, comprising of 100 birds. On completion of the competition, shooting guests are greeted with a champagne reception followed by a sit down three-course late luncheon at 15.30. The late fun afternoon entertainment consists of lively speeches, amazing trophies, incredible auction bids and varied raffle prizes. All of our shooting guests enjoy a satisfying and competitive day both shooting and socially, departing at the leisure in the early evening.
Results and Outcomes
The event is always enjoyed by our guests year after year. Each Shoot becomes increasingly challenging and rewarding for both guests and the charity involved.
